The Power Of An Hour

Posted by Successu7 in Personal Development

In the busy world we find ourselves in, many would argue that they do not have enough days in time! Why is it that the real successful however can still find time to do things they want to do? An hour is such a powerful period that you will come to know why you need this power.

An hour, made out of 60 minutes, which comes down to 3600 seconds. In this time a lot can be achieved, a book could be written, a degree earned, a fit and healthy body discovered, and also the ability to learn how to drive! There is simply so much that can be done with the power of an hour.

So, why do so many people say they don’t have time? Most successful people make time for the things they want to do. Now limiting beliefs may make you say that they can because they have all these rich and bountiful resources, however most of these successful people made time even when they weren’t as successful (results wise) as they are today.

Giving yourself an hour a day has such positive benefits, as has been listed. You maybe saying, but Kozan I just don’t have the time to invest in myself. Remember you can’t afford not to give yourself the time. The opposite of the hour of power is that you get into a rat race which gets worse and worse. The only way to break out is by looking at your day, and making time.

Most people follow the same trends. They rush to work, they work all day, come home tired, eat, and watch television for the remainder, and then it is off to bed. No wonder you don’t have time! Television is watched on average about 4 hours a day. Now is television so important that you simply must watch television for 1460 hours per year? That is 60 days or about 2 months in a year!

Switch off the TV, tune out and tune into living your dream, not some other persons dream. As soon as we are born a timer starts ticking that marks our age, oddly enough and with a bit of paradox, there is another time that counts the time left! Utilize this time, for now is all you have.

If you are overweight a 1 hour dedicated to yourself can see you within a year exercising 365 hours. Now 365 hours of walking, jogging, running can produce the best you, you have ever seen!

If you want to achieve success in a business, starting with 1 hour in the beginning can produce amazing results. If you work for someone, and you do indeed want to start your own business, you can. One hour set aside everyday will see you progressing part time, till the point when you can leave your current employer, and work in your own business.

If your life isn’t balanced, doing 1 hour of meditation, self reflection, etc, can produce amazing results to bring balance to your life. You will be serene in your day, and produce so much more than the person who doesn’t invest 1 hour just for themselves.

I have used the power of the hour in a power hour for the last few years, and can safely say the investment is well worth it. No amount of money can compensate for the value that the power hour can bring you. Your power hour can transform your life, and bit by bit, you will achieve what you intend to.

Set a time now, for today, decide, and start, and you will live the life of your dreams.

Concentrate And Reduce Your Time To Success

Posted by Successu7 in Goal Setting

Sometimes in all the success stories we here about, we find those people who have suddenly gone from broke to major success. These are not odd people, but they are odd in how they work day to day. And here in lies a key to reducing the time for you to succeed.

Most people will tell you success takes time, with years of workaholic behavior; however this is not the case. Such thoughts would make us believe and form a belief that working hard is the only way to succeed. The truth is if you don’t break down such a belief system, then you can never achieve success in short periods of time. Thus you become one who self sabotages there own success, by subconsciously thinking that you have not put in the necessary effort.

Break out! Success can be done in much shorter periods of time, and it begins with concentration. Concentration or where you put your attention is a golden key to success. If you like going to watch movies, your attention on movies, will make you well knowledgeable about movies, you would know all the latest films out, and could speak about so many.

If you are a fan of going to concerts, then you may know everything about the singer or group in question, you may know all the infinitesimal details. You could know all about the latest releases before then most people, because of the contacts and sources you have built up. And this is why most people never achieve success before 40, simply due to putting there concentration and attention on other areas.

If your heart is not in the game, you will not win. You can win, all it is, is a matter of time, however, how do we shorten the time to win and win big? With the examples given, you should have realized from your own past efforts, where your focus has been. Now you can concentrate and succeed. When you envelope yourself so much into one thing, you without a doubt start to excel at it.

Consider meditation. Meditation is one of the most pointless things anyone can do, granted it is absolutely essential, however, on the physical look of it, it is a waste of time. Meditation however, is a great way to concentrate and find solutions without distraction.

Take a look at a picture. If you take a glimpse only, you will only see major details. If you concentrate for more time, you will pick up more and more. A picture of Mona Lisa, you may pick up her expression, eye color, hair style, background objects and much more, the lighting, etc.

“Concentration moves other things not necessary out of our field of vision, and allows us to zero in on what we want to focus on.”

Consider 4 people working, one takes many breaks, one jokes a lot, one listens, while another concentrates. At the end of the work day, one has achieved much more then others. If you have ever played a computer game, and become so immersed, you can realize that time flies, and when you have finished, you have accomplished much more than you thought possible.

In business, projects we have running or any endeavor or desire, you can shorten the time when you concentrate on tasks in front of you. When you concentrate, you simply can’t not take action. Can you stand outside looking at a vehicle with keys in your hand and simply stand there for a long period of time, if you are focused on the car? You immediately get into the vehicle and set upon a journey.

Set Your Goals - Live The Dream

Posted by Successu7 in Goal Setting

Today, I am going to tell a story of success. This story will show the importance of why set your goals, and what it means to live your dreams, rather than simply floating though life.

Once in a cave there was darkness. In this cave many were; not knowing a way. And simply not knowing at all. However, through a hole in the cave, some light entered. One of these people found that he was aware, and as he became aware, he found he and all were shackled.

As he turned his head in another direction, he saw a glimmer of light. The light illuminated him as he realized there was a choice. He did not have to stand in that place. But as he tried to find ways to unshackle himself, he could not. Others were trying to put all the shackles he took off back on!

This distressed most to fall back and carry on as the others. However, this one kept at it. He simply would not give up. In fact this pressure like how pressure works on carbon to make a diamond made this man stronger. As he got stronger and stronger, he was able to sort through the problem of the shackles, one by one.

Gradually he was able to take off all the shackles. He was running, and he was free. However, there was a door. And this door was closed. He did not know how to escape. He did stand there wondering for a while how he could get out.

He then went up to that gap and peeked through it. This venturing man found a garden, found lands more amazing then he ever imagined. As he kept his thought on this, he just knew he had to make his escape into this amazing world.

As he went to the door, he thought there was no hope. In fact all hope almost left venturing man. He knocked at the door, as that was all that was left for him to try. So he knocked, and knocked again, and again. However, he was knocking so loud, he could not hear the man on the other side of the door.

He stopped for a moment, and the voice came ‘yes, how may I help you’. The venturing man said ‘let me out’, and then there was silence. The door creaked open, and the man was allowed out. He asked what was outside the cave, and the man said to him ‘where there was darkness in here, there is light out there’.

But, the man at the door went on to tell him that it was no good telling him about it, and he would have to go and see for himself. So the man did, he went on his way. And traveled through the cave, until he found a great light. It almost blinded him.

However, he was finally here. He achieved it. He had light in his life, and was living in a place which was infinite in comparison with the cave.

We are same. If we consider TV and goal setters, we will indeed see that the TV and the world are 2 different things. Though the TV shows us possibilities, it counts for nothing. You can live your ideal life; however, you will need to act. Read, and re read this article, send to friends. Change your life.

Hypnosis: Helping You Help Yourself

Posted by Aperhacs in Personal Development

Always viewed with great suspicion and once regarded to be at the heart of witchcraft, Hypnosis has made a long journey to be counted amongst one of the sciences today. Even more fulfilling is its new role of helping people to enrich and empower their lives.

What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is thought by many as a method by which the mind is placed in a state that makes it very responsive to external suggestions. Generally however, it is a state of highly focused concentration when you are oblivious to your immediate surroundings, focusing instead on something completely different, within or even outside your immediate realm. You would have experienced this many times; while watching TV, reading an engrossing book, listening to music or simply when you were happily daydreaming.

Only recently has it been recognized, that this state of mind could be used to identify and address the problems that are preventing us from realizing our full potential.

How is Hypnotic Power used?

The persuasive powers of hypnosis have been utilized for many years now to help people get over their fears, build their self-confidence and move positively towards their goals. The technique of Hypnotherapy is just an application of the various hypnotizing methods to help tap the power of the subconscious, more specifically to identify and bring out your problems, so that they can be duly addressed.

During hypnotherapy sessions, you are induced into a trance state and through the medium of creative visualization efforts are made to first relax and then guide you into recognizing all your powerful, positive abilities. Slowly but surely, your self-confidence is built; your vision is made clearer enabling you to discover new solutions for yourself and to make the positive changes that you need in your life.

In this entire journey, it is your mind power that is being tapped and the hypnotherapist through the hypnotic process merely guides your mind towards the right direction. In fact, you are in control at all times, even during the hypnotic process accepting only those suggestions which you are convinced will help you achieve your goals.

Who and How Can Hypnosis Help?

Anybody who strongly desires a change for the better, who is willing to work hard and take the steps necessary to achieve that change, can go in for and benefit from hypnosis. The wide range of areas in which Hypnotherapy can be used today is a testament to how much progress it has made.

From simple goals like weight reduction and fitness, sleeping better, improving your bowling or golfing skills to major ones like quitting smoking, enhancing memory skills, reducing stress and improving self-confidence, Hypnotism can help you achieve all of this. In fact, it is even being used very effectively in the cure of fears and phobias as well as in natural childbirth.

Hypnosis has influenced the lives of many people in significant ways and as its potential to bring out the power of the mind is revealed, there will be more and more people who will turn to Hypnosis to change their lives for the better.

Imagine Success - And Live The Success

Posted by Successu7 in Personal Development

Are you wondering why you are not seeing much more success? You have tried everything, but there must be something more which is stopping you from achieving what you believe you can achieve. In this article, you will learn from Kozan a principle which has contributed to his success.

Your mind has a screen, it is very similar to a television screen, and the only difference is that you can see pictures on this screen which you won’t find on any normal television set. These images are part of a faculty called imagination. Most people do not realize the importance of imagination. Some people go off into fantasies; in fact some young children can be seen daydreaming. You may even had a teacher who had to snap you out of it.

As we get older, we start to forget the magic of the imagination. Most people do use imagination however in such a bad way that it doesn’t serve them for anything good. Einstein once said that imagination is everything. It is the preview of life’s coming attractions. When used constructively you can achieve so much more than is normally possible.

How is it possible to get 2 people give them the same resources, and the results they get are different? One man achieves with the resources given, while another fails miserable. You see I was one of those people losing. Whatever I did, I could not win, until I realized that how I was applying. It is not just simply doing the work the fastest and completing all the work.

When a doctor delivered the recipe for Coca Cola to a Pharmacist the reason why Coca Cola is still here and so big is due to imagination. The doctor had no imagination when he sold that recipe, he did not figure that the recipe was worth a kings ransom! If the recipe was given to any other person it likely would have died in history, however, it was not to be so, and Coca Cola is worldwide known. Even the Aborigines of Australia drink Coca Cola!

Most people start tasks thinking of doom and gloom, especially if the task is new to them. Be of good courage, and good cheer, and setting upon a task with mental pictures of success will pave a way of light in your direction of focus, and you will undoubtedly succeed.

Your imagination is one of the greatest gifts that the universe has blessed humanity with. With imagination, you can accomplish so much more than without it. Everything we see was once in the imagination of someone. You to can achieve great things, the television, the computer, the place you are sitting in at the minute are all things that once were part of imagination.

When you can use your imagination constructively to the end of what you want to see become, you will realize it. Before beginning tasks, think of success, find the benefit. To be able to accomplish all of this will require formulating an outcome and putting it in writing. When you can accomplish this, you will have the keys to accomplish anything, and then all it takes is vigilant and dedicated and massive action.

How Boomers Can Sing Rock & Roll Instead Of The Blues

Posted by PGoldberg in Advice

The new Pew Research Center Social and Demographic Trends survey measured dissatisfaction and pessimism in close to 2500 participants. The data indicates that Baby Boomers worry more than any other generation. And a recent study from the University of Chicago suggests that the boomer generation has never really been happy. One hypothesis is that they grew up wanting to make the world a better place - and it’s not.

No one could deny that the national conversation has become depressing. Some find it hard to get up in the morning, when all they hear about is tumbling home prices, the war in Afghanistan or Iraq and record oil prices. Pundits exclaim that the American dream is dying on the vine and we are all suffering from bankrupt spirits.

But are things really that bad? What’s happening may be a natural change in the seasons of life. Cultural pain is normal in crises and perhaps the Baby Boomers just haven’t been adversity-tested. After all, isn’t necessity the mother of invention? Follow some of these suggestions as you develop your inner strength and resiliency:

1. You know about physical fitness. Apply some of these principals to becoming more emotionally fit. Discover your usual emotional pattern and start a training program. In addition to nutritious eating and regular exercise, practice noticing the negative concerns that get your attention, how you end up feeling and what active steps you can take to change your thoughts.

2. Rather than seeing the glass half empty, turn your challenges into opportunities. Release your mind from worries, most of which never happen anyway. Take it one day at a time and accomplish what you can without dwelling on the ‘what ifs.’ Worrying takes a lot of time and energy - it’s counterproductive and destroys your peace of mind.

3. Free yourself from resentment and practice how to forgive. If you hold on to grudges toward your business partner or past hurts from your friends, you’re the only one who will be miserable. Let go of feeling sorry for yourself and you’ll make room for more positive experiences. As your attitude changes, your day-to-day life will become more pleasant.

4. Embrace simplicity and appreciate what you have. Enjoy your family and colleagues. Go outside on a cloudless night and look at the beautiful sky. Take your family camping for the weekend and roast marshmallows over the fire. Eat sandwiches on a park bench with a co-worker and visit during lunch hour. Give back by volunteering at a homeless shelter, soup kitchen or a boys and girls club.

5. If you’re feeling gloomy in these roller coaster times, invite friends over for a potluck dinner and have everyone bring their signature dish. Turn the conversation into a creative and supportive revival of the spirit. Discuss innovative ways to save on groceries, to use less gas, to network for a new job.

6. Don’t expect so much. Unrealistic expectations about things and people lead to disappointment. Stuff loses its shine and appeal. Built-in obsolescence makes you a slave to the latest style and the next upgrade. It never ends, and then you feel dissatisfied with what you have. In some situations try not to expect anything, and whatever comes your way will be a blessing.

It is true that, as financial crises go, this one is very personal. But perception doesn’t always match reality. According to the Pew Research results, the boomer generation enjoys the highest incomes of any age group surveyed. They are less likely to have been laid off and less likely to have trouble paying for medical care or housing. In fact, fewer of them said that someone in their household had to go to work in the past year or take on an extra job to make ends meet.

Home prices will stabilize, oil prices could stop going up and, for all we know, the global economy may be resilient. The bottom line is that contentment is elusive for some people. In the end, it’s important to realize that fulfillment isn’t to be achieved as a goal in itself, but rather as the result of living a good life.
